Big names announced for the launch of Euro T20 Slam in Dublin

The recently announced Euro T20 Slam, which will feature 2 teams each from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands will be launched by two legends of World Cricket, former Pakistan cricket team captain, Wasim Akram and Former Indian team skipper Dilip Vengsarkar.

The launch will take place in Dublin on the 30th of April. The glitzy event in the Irish capital will also see the Bollywood actress, 30 year-old Yami Gautam, star of the recent release Uri: The Surgical Strike, launch the tournament mascot and logo.

The advisory committee, marquee players, venues and the local players will also be announced during the first-of-its kind launch of tournament, which will be played from the 30th of August until the 22September 2019. 

Woods Entertainment and GS Holding who are the promotors of the league will also open the doors for sponsors worldwide to come on board and become franchises owners.

Mr. Prashant Mishra of Woods Entertainment spoke about the big plans for the competition, “A big surprise awaits the city of Dublin with the official launch of the Euro T20 Slam. With the support of Cricket Ireland, and the Scotland and Dutch Cricket boards we are hoping to attract millions of fans by launching the league in a big way. We understand that there is a massive talent base in Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands and with the Euro T-20 Slam we will create a product never seen before in Europe.”

His colleague at Woods Entertainment Mr. Amit Singh said, “We are waiting to announce some of the biggest names from the world of international cricket who will be part of our league. It’s imperative for us to have a connect with Indian audience as well, so we are contemplating the presence of Bollywood stars for the launch.”

It’s all set for a superb tournament, something never before see in Europe.
