Record Tote Pick 6 Pool Expected at the Curragh on Sunday

Curragh Racecourse

Tote Ireland is expecting the Pick 6 pool at the Curragh on Sunday, September 25th to smash through the €1 million barrier for the first time following last Sunday’s pool of €863,638 going unclaimed at Gowran Park. The Pick 6 was widely predicted to top the €1 million mark on that occasion, but it was not won and all €863,638 will roll on to the Curragh on Sunday.

A difficult Flat card at Gowran Park meant that after the fourth leg of the Pick 6 there were no remaining units. However, Sunday’s card at the Curragh is predicted to be a little more punter-friendly.

Tote Ireland is advising customers to play the Pick 6 early on Sunday as there is expected to be huge interest on the day. There will be early-play options available from lunchtime on Saturday on Tote Ireland account holders will be able to phone in their bets anytime from lunchtime of Saturday in addition to having the on-course and online options.

Joe Hennessy – Tote Ireland Sales & Marketing Manager: “Last week’s rollover was the largest we had ever seen and it caused considerable excitement from our customers both home and abroad. This week we are certain that, for the first time ever, our pool will head north of €1 million. We are really looking forward to seeing who, and how many, of our customers can call this one. Many will opt to play the card lots of ways, covering several horses per race while others will simply play for €1 and just pick one horse in all six legs. Customers can also use our clever quick pick option on”

Tim Higgins – Tote Ireland CEO: “We are thrilled to be facing into a €1 million-plus Pick 6 pool on Sunday at the Curragh and everyone has the opportunity to win or share in what will be the biggest pool that Tote Ireland has ever seen.
